Flooring - an indispensable element of the interior that is not worth saving on

Interiors require not only decoration, but also attention to safety and comfort. Therefore, when choosing the right flooring, there are many factors to consider, such as ease of cleaning, durability, comfort and safety. Nowadays, we have a lot to choose from when it comes to types of flooring. Each is distinguished not only by its original appearance, but also by its high quality and unique properties.

- Natural wood flooring

These are synonymous with luxury and quality. They are elegant, natural, warm and still very popular. Wood never goes out of fashion and, thanks to the possibility of repeated renovation, it can serve its homeowners for up to several decades. Today, you can choose between different forms of wood, such as parquet, layered panels, aged, structured or patinated. All to achieve a truly unique effect.

- Solid plank - wood flooring is made from a single piece of wood. Only high-quality raw materials such as ash, oak or exotic woods are used. It is best suited to the living room, study or bedroom.

- Wood paneling, also known as layered flooring, is a less expensive solution than solid wood parquet. Panels are made of two or three layers: a decorative outer layer of precious wood and one or two bottom layers of softwood. The three-layer Barlinek board is one of the more popular solutions. The partial use of lower quality materials translates into a lower price for layered floorboards. This type of floor is easier to lay than a solid wood parquet. You can successfully install it yourself in a so-called floating system. To add even more elegance to the interior, it is advisable to use wood trims.

- Laminate flooring

An inexpensive and easy to lay alternative to solid plank that looks like wood. Available in a huge range of patterns and colours, they can imitate any type of material, even high-grade wood species. They are simple to lay and easy to keep clean. To improve their acoustics a little, it is a good idea to use underlay under the panels. However, it is important to remember that laminate floors are hard and cold, and show less resistance to abrasion, scratches and also temperature extremes. A damaged laminate floor cannot be renovated, it has to be replaced.

- Vinyl flooring

Vinyl panels are a modern solution, combining various advantages of all types of flooring. Instead of wood, ceramic or veneer, several layers of vinyl are used in their production. They can imitate any material - from wooden planks to marble and granite. However, bear in mind that they are often more expensive than laminate flooring. Vinyl flooring can be warmer and less hard than laminate. They are also virtually completely moisture-resistant, making them ideal for kitchens or bathrooms.

- Classic tiles

Ceramic tiles are one of the most popular floor coverings and are ideal for use wherever the floor is exposed to moisture, damage and other damaging factors. They can imitate stone, wood panels or even materials such as marble or granite. However, it is important to remember that ceramic tiles are not as warm to the touch as wood. For this reason, they are not laid too often in living rooms and bedrooms, where walking comfort must be really high.

- Floor coverings

Carpeted floors are soft and warm, add cosiness to the interior and are perfect for bedrooms or children's rooms. Unfortunately, they are difficult to keep clean. If you opt for a low-quality product, you can expect the material to wear out quickly. This is an issue that is particularly worth considering in homes with pets.
